Curtis Gibson, pastor of the Bailey Chapel United Methodist Church of Gould. The Rev. PETER’S ROCK BAPTIST CHURCH, 1201 S. Catalpa St., will host the Emancipation Proclamation Service of the Pine Bluff Branch of the NAACP. Service will be held at 9 a.m. Jan. 1 and the community is invited to attend. The Rev. Darren Edgerson, St. Peter’s Rock pastor, will also serve as the featured speaker. Ivan Whitfield is the president of the Pine Bluff Branch of the NAACP. “Don’t miss the 2025 Emancipation Proclamation Service,” a spokesman said in the news release from Stuff in The Bluff.com.
