Mayor Shirley Washington invites residents to the Pine Bluff Community Prayer and Christmas Tree Lighting.
“Join us on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 6 p.m., at 601 Main Street, for a special night of music, light refreshments, and photos with Santa,” Washington said in a news release.
The event will be held at the park at Sixth Avenue and Main Street.
“Lighting this tree will mark the beginning of Christmas in Pine Bluff, a season that we hope will bring you joy and beautiful memories. We are excited by the opportunity of sharing this night with you. Hope to see you there,” Washington said.
Participants will pray for safety, a bountiful holiday and blessings for everyone. Safety precautions against covid-19 will be implemented throughout the ceremony.
The Pine Bluff Fire & Emergency Services will also begin its annual Holiday Santa Run in a specially decorated reserve fire truck during the ceremony.
