‘Cats shut out ‘Lions 16-0

The Watson Chapel Wildcats traveled to Little Rock on Monday afternoon to face the Little Rock McClellan Lions in a conference matchup.

 

Watson Chapel defeated the Lions 16-0 in three innings to earn a conference win.

 

The Wildcats had 13 hits in the game. Braelin Hence led the team, going three-for-four at the plate with two RBI’s. Gianti Turner showed his speed, contributing at the plate with two triples. Davion White and Aaron Frazier had two hits a piece.

 

Reggie Bryant pitched for the Lions. He allowed 13 hits and struck out one.

 

The duo of Scott Taylor and Garret Dennis dominated on the mound for Watson Chapel. Taylor pitched the first two innings, allowing no hits and striking out 5. Dennis struck out the first three batters he faced to end the game.

 

Watson Chapel will play at home at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday against the Little Rock Mills Comets.
