CARTI is expanding access to its urologic care. To meet increasing demand, CARTI Urology will now offer services in Heber Springs and Stuttgart, in addition to Conway, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Pine Bluff and Searcy.
The agency has hired two advanced practice registered nurses: Tamera Douglas, who will see patients locally, and Shari Ronell.
“Offering timely, accessible urologic care not only improves patients’ outcomes but also significantly enhances quality of life,” said Dr. Ron Kuhn, medical director of CARTI Urology. “With the addition of Tamera and Shari, our growing team looks forward to ensuring it’s easy and convenient for patients to receive these services within their local communities.”
Douglas will see patients at the CARTI Cancer Centers in Little Rock and Pine Bluff, as well as the Stuttgart treatment facility. She brings nearly a decade of nursing experience to CARTI Urology, including expertise in collaborating with oncology care teams.
Douglas graduated magna cum laude from Southern Arkansas University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and from Spring Arbor University with a master’s degree in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Primary Care.

Ronell will be based at the CARTI Cancer Centers in Little Rock, Heber Springs and North Little Rock. She has more than 30 years of nursing experience, including two decades in urology. She has worked in diverse clinical settings, spanning senior urgent care, emergency department and hospitalist roles. Ronell holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Governors University and a master’s degree in Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner Acute Care from Chamberlain University.
CARTI provides comprehensive urology services for men and women, including treatment for stones of the ureter, kidney and genitourinary; prostate, impotence and erectile dysfunction; Peyronie’s Disease; epididymitis; orchitis; female-related urological issues; cancer-related conditions of the bladder, testicles, kidney and prostate.
