The Carnell Russ Branch of the NAACP will host a recognition spotlight awards banquet at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Star City Civic Center at Star City.
The semi-formal affair will recognize community 2019 Branch Honorees, Ruth Johnson and Jearlene Williams, and the 2019 Community Achiever, former judge Charles Capps, according to a news release.
The event will include dinner and entertainment for adults 18 and older, according to the release. Tickets are $20 per person or $150 for a table of eight people.
