Now, Dollarway can look ahead to McGehee.
Dollarway remained unbeaten in the 8-4A Conference on Tuesday night after beating DeWitt 69-20 at Dollarway Fieldhouse. The Cardinals will host McGehee, which is also undefeated in the league, in a first-place clash Friday.
The Cards’ warm-up for that game seemed too easy. They shut out the Dragons in the fourth quarter after leading 63-20 and nearly did the same in the first, 16-2. Those two points for DeWitt came after Josh Liddell was whistled for a technical foul for hanging on the rim.
Dollarway (14-4, 5-0 in 8-4A) shot 28 of 64 from the field and 8 of 12 from the free-throw line and forced 25 DeWitt turnovers. The Cards also outrebounded the Dragons 39-19 and led 44-12 at halftime.
DeAaron Adway and Davonne Chapman each scored nine points to lead Dollarway. Jonathan Liddell had eight and Josh Liddell seven.

White Hall 42, Crossett 39
CROSSETT — The Eagles failed to get a shot off in the final seconds, and the Bulldogs (7-5, 2-2 in 5A-Southeast) escaped with a conference victory.
D.J. Freeman, who led White Hall with 17 points, converted 1 of 2 free throws with 4.5 seconds left to make it a three-point game. Jeremy Sprinkle added 16 for the Bulldogs.
White Hall used a strong third quarter to overcome a 20-14 halftime deficit, outscoring Crossett 15-5.
Next for White Hall is a home battle with natural conference rival Watson Chapel on Friday. Crossett fell to 5-6 and 1-3.
Helena-West Helena Central 56, Watson Chapel 55
HELENA-WEST HELENA — The Cougars (5-5, 1-3 in 5A-Southeast) upset the Wildcats (9-8, 2-2), who are now tied with the Bulldogs in the conference. No statistics were available.
Victory Christian 50, St. Joseph 32
At St. Joseph, Randy Whiteside led the Huskies with 19 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Victory Christian, which led 22-11 at halftime.
Drew Central 60, Rison 41
RISON — Demarius Thomas scored almost half of Drew Central’s points in a blowout victory.
Thomas had 27 points and Edmond Hunter chipped in 10 for the Pirates (14-5, 2-0 in 8-3A). The Wildcats fell to 3-7 and 0-3 in the conference.
McGehee 58, LV Lakeside 40
McGEHEE — The Owls (10-4, 4-0 in 8-4A) set up a first-place battle with Dollarway after cruising past the Beavers (3-13, 0-4).
Dontez Racy scored 23 points, and Dale Bass and Cue Rose each netted 10 for McGehee.
Star City 64, Hamburg 53
STAR CITY — Following a 13-all tie at the end of one quarter, Star City outscored Hamburg 24-17 before halftime and held on to pick up an 8-4A Conference victory.
Damar Reed led all scorers with 21 points, Jemiel Thompson scored 17 and D.J. Pace had 11 for Star City (6-11, 3-2 in 8-4A). Kaylon Fisher and Desnun Stanley had 18 and 13 points for Hamburg (6-12, 2-5).
Dumas 42, Warren 25
WARREN — The Bobcats (8-4, 4-1 in 8-4A) held the Lumberjacks to one point in the first quarter, led 28-8 at halftime and cruised to a conference victory.
For Dumas, Donte Stovall had 14 points and Charleston Dobbs scored 11. Kaleel Thomas led Warren (0-10, 0-4) with seven points.
Warren beat Dumas 44-36 in the junior high boys game.
Fordyce 76, Hampton 57
HAMPTON — Thaxton Tolbert scored 22 points, Markel Bulliner added 15 and the Redbugs (9-9) opened up a 34-27 halftime lead in a nonconference victory over the Bulldogs.
Michael Hemphill also scored 10 points for Fordyce.
Texarkana 53, Sheridan 48
TEXARKANA — The Yellowjackets (2-13, 0-4 in 6A-South) remained winless in the conference but gave the Razorbacks (13-5, 3-1) a big challenge. No statistics were available.
GIRLS
White Hall 48, Crossett 14
CROSSETT — Patience Walker led the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points, but White Hall (9-3, 4-0 in 5A-Southeast) showed no patience in jumping on Crossett (1-11, 1-3) early in a 5A-Southeast victory.
White Hall shut out Crossett 15-0 in the second quarter and led 31-4 at halftime.
Haley Baugh and Rachel Box added seven points for the Lady Bulldogs, who will host Watson Chapel on Friday.
Watson Chapel 58, Helena-West Helena Central 36
HELENA-WEST HELENA — The Lady Wildcats improved to 9-8 and 3-1 in the 5A-Southeast behind 21 points from Kamera Bozeman, 12 from Kierra Cox and 11 from Jasmine Bell.
The Cougarettes fell to 1-8 and 0-4.
Star City 56, Hamburg 13
STAR CITY — The Lady Bulldogs (17-1, 5-0 in 8-4A) pitched a second-quarter shutout and led 42-7 at intermission in a blowout victory over the Lady Lions (9-8, 2-5).
Hamburg, which trailed 18-7 through the first quarter, didn’t score more than that in a period and was held to six in the second half.
Tyeshia Harris scored 17 points to lead Star City.
Drew Central 53, Rison 36
RISON — Stephanie Ridgell canned four three-point baskets and led the Lady Pirates with 16 points as they stayed unbeaten in the 8-3A Conference.
Drew Central (16-4, 2-0 in 8-3A) led 13-10 after one quarter, 25-19 at halftime and 41-27 after three. Meca Rainey had 13 points to lead Rison (4-4, 1-2).
McGehee 55, LV Lakeside 29
McGEHEE — Monie Stinward scored 19 points and Jessica Harris finished with 15 in leading the Lady Owls (8-4, 3-1 in 8-4A) to a rout of the Lady Beavers, who are now 1-4 in conference play.
Fordyce 56, Hampton 26
HAMPTON — The Lady Bugs are now 14-5 after picking up a nonconference victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
Lakitta Grandy scored 15 points and Madison Adams 14 for Fordyce, which was ahead 35-18 at halftime.
Woodlawn 66, Hermitage 43
RISON — The Lady Bears (6-8, 5-4 in 7-2A East) won their second straight with four players in double figures: Becca Britt with 17, Hannah Gavin with 14, Shelby Herrington with 13 and Kelsey Richardson with 11.
Texarkana 42, Sheridan 38
TEXARKANA — The Razorbacks (13-4, 4- in 6A-South) stayed unbeaten in the conference after edging the Lady Jackets (3-14, 0-4). No statistics were reported.

At Dollarway, the Cardinals (10-7, 2-1 in 8-4A) used much-needed balance scoring with their top player out for the season with a torn ACL.
Adrian Alford led the Cardinals with eight, Kendrick Hunter and Keenan Dickson each had seven, and Montel Vanderbilt and Donald Robinson added six.
