Cane Creek State Park at Star City will host the Perseid Meteor Shower kayak tour at 11:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14.
Every year in August, Cane Creek participants get to see a scene painted by meteors falling through the constellation Perseus called the Perseid Meteor Shower.
This is an opportunity for visitors to see these “shooting stars” and to top it off, the shower is going to be in line with the new moon.
Visit Cane Creek State Park for a different way to view the event, from a kayak. No experience is required on this two-hour guided tour. Life jackets, kayaks and paddles are provided.
