A political forum will be held Monday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Convention Center, sponsored by Pine Bluff Citizens in Action in partnership with the Arkansas Public Policy Panel.
Arkansas Appeals Court Judge Waymond Brown will be the moderator.
According to the organizers, candidates invited will include:
State senate district 25
Democrats, state Rep. Efrem Elliott and state Sen. Stephanie Flowers.
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
State Senate District 27
Democrats, Rep. Garry L. Smith and Rep. Bobby J. Pierce. (The winner of the May 22 primary will face Republican Henry L. Frisby II Nov. 6.)
State Representative District 10
Democrats Dorothy A. Hall, Jefferson County Judge Mike Holcomb and Star City Mayor Gene Yarbrough. (The winner will face GOP Charles Roberts Nov. 6.)
Jefferson County judge
Democrats Ivan Whitfield, Dutch King and Alfred Carroll. (The winner will face GOP Ted Harden Nov. 6.)

District 1 — Democrats Garland Trice, Morris Caldwell
District 2 — Democrats Reginald Adams, H.O. Gray

Also invited were candidates in uncontested races for state Representative Districts 14, 15, 16 and 17.
During the forum, each candidate will give a two-minute opening statement. Candidates will also be asked to respond to questions asked by the moderator and audience.
“Questions will be taken from the audience, which the moderator will pre-screen, and pose to the candidates,” a spokesman said. “Each candidate will be allotted one minute for a response and the moderator will have discretion to allow 30 seconds for follow-up or clarification of a point.”
