The Camden Road Extension Home Makers club met for their Christmas party at Kung Fu Kitchen recently.
Ten members attended, including: Wanda Felts, Elizabeth Ferguson, Dorothy Green, Becky Boudra — and guest Scarlet Isom — Patsy Jones, Esta Kealer, Mary Jo Segars, Wanda Strickland and Nancy Sumner.
No gifts were exchanged, as the club decided to give coats for children at L. L. Owen Elementary School.
“We were able to deliver several coats on Wednesday Dec. 14, 2016,” according to a news release.
“The Camden Road Club decorated the county extension office for the Christmas Council meeting that was held on Dec. 6, 2016. Entertainment was provided by Taylor Oates, vocalist.
“Gifts of Tree Ornaments were exchanged. The pot luck dinner was enjoyed by all. On Nov. 18, 2016, several members of Camden Road Home Makers Club greeted visitors at the Land of Lights and Legends, held at Regional Park. Two members of Camden Road Club attended the Fellowship Tour at Margeland for a Christmas dinner. The Birthday Bash will be held Jan, 10, 2017. Those celebrating will be Marpessa Beard, Dorothy Green, Elizabeth Ferguson, Becky Boudra, Mary Smith, and Nancy Sumner. Birthday celebrations are held every three months.”
