Camden Road Extension Homemakers Club recently held its monthly meeting at Whiteville Missionary Baptist Church.
Members present were Judy Cox, Wanda Felts, Andrea Hartley, Sue Holdford, Esta Kealer, Kathy Rogers, Nancy Sumner and Patsy Wallace.
Sumner, president, called the meeting to order and read the handy hint. She also gave the thought for the day — “Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”
Hartley, vice president, read the Homemakers Creed. Wallace, inspiration leader, gave the devotion.
Cox, secretary, called the roll and each member answered by recalling their first apron.

Hartley showed a beautiful red organza apron, which held her crayons, that she received from her grandmother when she was 4 years old. Wallace showed an apron made by her grandmother, which had lots of cross-stitches, and was given to her when she got married.
Rogers presented a program on the history of aprons. She brought several aprons for display and also a book with aprons and patterns, which she passed around among the members.
Cox discussed delivering red knitted caps, with Santas attached, to the hospital for the children.
Sumner reminded everyone of the Holiday Foods event, which was held Oct. 8. She dismissed the meeting with the Homemakers Prayer.
