CADC to distribute commodities in Dallas County

FORDYCE – The Central Arkansas Development Council will distribute USDA commodity foods Nov. 11-12 in Dallas County.

Distributions will begin at 9 a.m. at the CADC Fordyce Office, 410 E. 4th St., in Fordyce, and First Baptist Church, 225 Ethel St., in Sparkman.

The food items may include milk, canned apricots, dried cranberries, creamed corn, peas, tomato soup, cereal, grape juice, chicken leg quarters and applesauce cups.

To receive food, participants must present identification and meet income criteria which are based on 130 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. For example, a one person household must make less than $15,171 per year. For each additional family member, add $5,278.
