HOPE – Seeking revenge from two previous season losses to Hope, the White Hall Bulldogs dominated the Hope Bobcats 46-12 Friday night for 5A South Conference football action on the Bank of the Ozarks Field at Hammons Stadium.
The Bulldogs showed no mercy to top the Bobcats on their senior night for the final home performance of the season to keep Hope winless now 0-6 in conf., 0-9 overall. The Bulldogs improve to 5-1 in conf., 8-1 overall.
In opening quarter action, the Bulldogs were held to one trip into the end zone which was led by a first down drive from Ollie Reddick taking the ball inside the red zone to the two-yard line. Montrell Roberson drove in for the two-yard touchdown at the 8:12 mark and PAT good by Myles Jolly put White Hall up 7-0.
The Bobcats made plays throughout the first quarter, with two first downs drives but the Bulldogs defense held ground to keep the Cats out the end zone for opening period play.
In the second quarter, the Bulldogs struck again with Roberson scoring his second TD of the night from the goal line at the 8:51 mark and PAT good gave White Hall a 14-0 lead. Lance Smith extended the Bulldogs lead making his first trip in the end zone of the game for a 17-yard run and scoring the two-point conversion to give White Hall a 22-0 advantage at the 6:28 mark.

The Bobcats put a successful drive together which brought senior quarterback Austin Stubber in for a four-yard touchdown QB keeper run at the 4:45 mark. White Hall blocked the extra point and Hope trailed the Bulldogs 22-6.
With under a minute remaining in the first half, the Bulldogs closed the half with a field goal attempt successful by Jolly to take visiting White Hall to the locker room leading Hope, 25-6 at halftime.
In the second half, the Bulldogs put the game away by inserting the sportsmanship rule to account three touchdowns scored in the third quarter. Layne Hartsfield caught a 12-yard touchdown pass reception at the 6:33 mark with PAT good to give White Hall 32-6 lead. Then defensively, White Hall got a interception from Davan Blasengame at the 6:08 mark on Hope’s turnover to give possession back to the Bulldogs from their own 33-yard line.
This set up Rod Shelby II to score on a nine-yard touchdown run and PAT good to put White Hall up 39-6 at the 3:47 mark. The final touchdown in the third quarter came from a pick-six interception by Roddick at the 2:21 mark to give the Bulldogs a commanding 46-6 lead over Hope to end third quarter action.
In the fourth, as the clock ran continuously, the Bobcats managed to score one last touchdown of the game at the 2:40 mark as Hope senior quarterback Stubber launched a 47 yard touchdown pass reception to Jaylon Conway with the PAT no good to make the final score 46-12.
White Hall avenge their loss at Hammons Stadium back in 2014 to Hope and left Friday night with a 34 point victory in the return trip to Hope for season 2016.
The Bulldogs finish out their regular season hosting De Queen at home for 5A South Conference action for week 10.
