The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid to replace a bridge where Jefferson County Road 69 crosses Plum Bayou.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2016.
Simco Inc. of North Little Rock received the contract at $1.04 million, the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department said.
