The Arkansas State Highway Commission approved a bid to replace one bridge structure on Arkansas 54 over Sandy Bayou in Jefferson County.
1911 Construction Company Inc. of Pine Bluff was awarded the contract at $498,630, according to Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) officials.
Construction is scheduled to begin in two to four weeks, weather permitting. Completion is expected in late 2018.
