Breath of Life Church, 1313 Pine St., will host its second Youth Empowerment Workshop for ages 12-18, Saturday, April 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The free event begins with registration at 9 a.m. Breakfast pastries will be served until 9:45 a.m. and lunch will also be provided, according to a news release.
Open discussion topics will include etiquette, self confidence, self-image and peer pressure.
Speakers for the young ladies will be Jefferson County Treasurer Vonysha Goodwin and Commeka Goodloe.
Speakers for young men will be James Cowan, Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Cortez Lee, White Hall Head Football coach.

College Preparation and Careers will be addressed by Mattie Collins, a retired educator and director of the Ivy Center for Education.
“We will have multiple exhibits in a variety of professional career areas along with a representative for teens to acquire information and ask questions,” according to the release.
