Garden Pointe Assisted Living Facility, 7001 S. Hazel St., will host a Black History celebration for its residents and those of the Garden and Whispering Knoll Assisted Living.
The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, presented by Dee Clay, the Gospel Angel.
Words of encouragement will be by the Rev. Marcus Morton and a special salute will be made to Albert Dorsey, a 94-year-old veteran.
Guests will include the ABC Girl, Alice Hunt, a psalmist from McGehee; and Anthony Owens of Chesapeake, Virginia. Refreshments will be served.
