Biz Expo to feature Community Spotlight

The Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce will feature the Community Spotlight at the 2017 Business Expo at the Pine Bluff Convention Center Thursday, May 4.

The West Concourse area at the expo will feature local charitable organizations. Participants are urged to visit all of the non-profits to see what services they offer and how to volunteer to make a difference in the community, a spokesman said.

The 2017 Community Spotlight agencies will include the American Red Cross, Area Agency on Aging of Southeast Arkansas, Arkansas Paws in Prison, Celebrate Recovery, Jefferson County 4-H, Jenkins Housing Inc., Kiwanis Club of Pine Bluff, Neighbor to Neighbor, Optimist Club of Pine Bluff, Rotary Club of West Pine Bluff, RSVP, Southeast Arkansas Adult Education, Southeast Arkansas Behavioral Healthcare System, Toastmasters, United Way of Southeast Arkansas, Voices for Children and Youth Partners – Imagination Library.

The event begins with the Business Expo Breakfast from 7:30-9 a.m. May 4 at the convention center banquet hall. Breakfast tickets are $15 each and a table of 8 is $200. Also during the breakfast, The Chamber will recognize “Customer Service Stars,” employees in the community who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. Nominations should be sent to The Chamber by Friday, April 21.

During the expo, exhibits will be open in the arena at the convention center from 9-10 a.m. May 4 for VIP (exhibitors and invited guests.) The event opens from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the general public and admission is $5 per person.
