The University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension program will sponsor free training for child care providers at Pine Bluff.
The Best Care Child Care Provider Training will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the parish hall of St. Joseph Catholic Church, 412 W. Sixth Ave. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. The pre-registration deadline is Monday, Feb. 11, according to a news release.
Participants are asked to bring their own lunch and healthy snacks will be provided.
Instructors will be Extension Family and Consumer Sciences agents Mary Ann Kizer of Jefferson County and Diane Clement of Cleveland County, along with Rebecca Simon, Early Childhood program associate.
“Best Care training will give child care providers an opportunity to enhance their proven child care program and help meet educational requirements with continuing education,” according to the release. “Foster parents are invited to attend to meet their training requirements.”

Ten credit hours can be earned for attending the entire day. One credit is earned for each hour long session attended, according to the release.
