Gov. Mike Beebe announced 28 appointments to state boards and commissions Tuesday including these from Southeast Arkansas:
• Doug Brown of White Hall was named to the Jefferson County Quorum Court to replaces the late Cleddie Shock. Brown’s appointment expires Dec. 31.
• Willie McGhee of El Dorado was reappointed to the Minority Health Commission until Jan. 31, 2014.
• David Robinson of Sheridan was reappointed to the Arkansas Lifeline Individual Verification Effort Corp. The appointment expires March 1, 2015.
• Edward Spears of Wabbaseka was reappointed to the State Board of Optometry. His appointment expires April 26, 2017.
