Bean Bags Tournament to support Kiwanis projects

The Pine Bluff Kiwanis Club will host its annual State Championship Bean Bags Tournament Saturday, May 21, at the Pine Bluff Country Club. Check-in starts at 11 a.m. and the tournament begins at noon.

This double-elimination bean bags tournament features $500 in prize money. Registration is $40 per team, and it includes a beanbag T-shirt. Proceeds benefit the youth programs of the Pine Bluff Kiwanis Club.

The Kiwanis Club has been helping community children for 87 years. They meet each Wednesday at noon for lunch at the country club. Guests and new members are welcome to attend.

Club members have been involved in many projects including Boys and Girls State, Salvation Army bell ringing, Boys and Girls Club, scouting programs, CASA, Camp Taloha and the Hope Foundation. They support all the area high school Key Clubs. Members also participate in state, national, and international Kiwanis meetings. Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
