Valissia Lynette Batemon of Pine Bluff was recently selected to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
She was chosen because of her outstanding performance at the University of Central Arkansas, a spokesman said.
She is the daughter of Ervin Batemon Sr. and Stephanie Batemon.
