Bank makes donation to Salvation Army

Simmons Bank has again provided a end-of-year holiday donation to the Salvation Army of Pine Bluff.

Simmons donated $7,500 in support of Pine Bluff’s annual Christmas campaign at the Salvation Army, according to a news release.

“While Christmas is an all-important season for the work and mission of the Salvation Army, the care and ministry of the Army is carried out 365 days a year — sheltering the homeless, feeding the hungry and clothing those less fortunate in our community,” according to the release.

“Simmons Bank has long been a supporting partner of the Salvation Army in Pine Bluff and we are proud to once again provide this significant donation ,” Daniel Robinson, Simmons’ community president, said.

To find out more about the programs and opportunities to volunteer for the Red Kettle campaign, or to “adopt an angel” by providing a Christmas gift to a child in need, those interested can call Pine Bluff Salvation Army Captains Chwight Olige and Janai Olige at (870) 534-0504.
