Stone Bank Jefferson County Market President Vince Stone and staff recently hosted a retirement reception for the bank’s chief executive officer, Marnie Oldner.

Oldner is stepping down as CEO after leading the bank since 2011. Under her leadership, Stone Bank grew from $65 million in total assets to more than $750 million. She will remain on the bank’s board of directors, according to a news release.

Employees hosted a luncheon for Oldner and presented her with accolades, thanks and parting gifts. Oldner stated that she was particularly proud of the team in White Hall, including Stone and Vice President/Branch Manager Sheila Cannon, for their success in making Stone Bank a very aggressive competitor in Jefferson County, according to the release.

“Stone Bank originated in Jefferson County when the Bank of Altheimer charter was acquired in 2009,” she said. “The experienced bankers willing to join us were exceptionally hard workers who were willing to advance the Stone Bank vision. We made a commitment and a large investment in Harrison and the people who manage our operations here have done an exceptional job, for which I am very grateful.”

Stone Bank built a $3 million state-of-the-art banking center on Sheridan Road in White Hall in 2017. That branch now has total assets of $175 million.

Oldner was a certified public accountant for Coopers & Lybrand (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers), in Newport Beach, Calif., and is a graduate of California State University. She previously held the CEO and chief financial officer titles with two other Arkansas banks, as well as being a bank consultant in the state for several years.

In 2015, Oldner was recognized as “Bank CFO of the Year” by Arkansas Business magazine. She was honored as one of “Arkansas’ Most Influential Leaders” in 2019 and “Woman of the Year in Business” by the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas in 2020, and named one of the Top 100 Women of Impact and AMP magazine’s “Power Women” in 2023.
