Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington announced an ordinance signing for the recent “Ban the Box” legislation approved by the Pine Bluff City Council. The signing will take place at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 9, in the mayor’s office of city hall at the civic center.
The council approved the proposed ordinance Monday that will remove a box in city employment applications asking if the person applying for a position has been convicted of a felony.
