The 20th Century Club met at Grace Episcopal Church recently. Hostesses were Barbara Stone and Janette McGrew.
President Linda Minyard called the meeting to order by the leading of the collect. Minutes were read and approved and roll call showed 10 members present.
The Christmas committee reminded the group of the luncheon Tuesday, Dec. 8, at First Baptist Church.
Minyard recalled the theme for the year is “My favorite book” and each member will review her selection during the year.
Norma Caldwell presented her own book that she spent 21 years writing. It was a history of the Caldwell family beginning in Scotland, to Ireland and ending up in South Carolina. She gave an overview of how she did research and how to go about getting a book published.
She smiled and said, “If we look at our own history we may find some very interesting facts which may be good or bad.”
