The Friendship Association District Ladies Auxiliary met at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at Palmyra for their regular quarterly meeting recently.
The congregation sang “Each Step I Take,” led by Debbie Record with Debbie Bumpass at the piano, both of the host church.
President Mildred Carter of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at Dumas called the meeting to order. Special prayer requests were given, according to a news release.
The opening prayer was offered by David Harrington, pastor of the host church. Traci Harrington with the host church gave the welcome and Debbie Leopard gave the response. The roll call of churches and the minutes from the last meeting were ready by Vera Reynolds, secretary treasurer.
The following meeting is to be held at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at Star City. The goal for that meeting is to be the Arkansas State Mission Project.

Jeff Neeley, Arkansas State Mission Project promotional director, announced that Clovis, N.M., will receive the first quarterly funds to help with their building project. The second quarterly funds would be split between the Children’s Home in Texarkana and Beautiful Hope in Springdale.
Tyler Freeman, Arkansas State Mission advocate, reported that since he became the advocate, he has visited 26 different churches and logged more than 2,600 miles in the first four months. He gave an update on the four state missionaries.
It was announced that food donations to the seminary pantry in Little Rock was no longer needed until further notice due to the construction of the new seminary. Monetary donations to help with construction will be accepted.
The speaker was Lisa Ferguson, who presented a method of spring cleaning. She used scripture to highlight what people should recycle, keep, donate or discard. At the end of her presentation, she sang “I Choose Christ.” Debbie Leopard of the host church gave her the hand of fellowship.
After prayer by Julius Carter, of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, he and David Harrington, of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, received the offering.
There were four auxiliaries present for a total of 32 women. There were also three preachers and one visitor present. The total offering for Ray of Grace was $414.
Rickey Collins, of Bethlehem, dismissed in prayer and also offered the blessing on the meal prepared by the host church.
