The Whispering Knoll and the Gardens Assisted Living Facilities, 6812-6814 S. Hazel St., will host a National Day of Prayer event at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 3.
The community is invited to join them in praying for health, schools, government, prisons, senior care, military, senior care and more, according to a news release.
Participants will include Mary Sloan of Old St. James Missionary Baptist Church, Watson Chapel High School Choir, the Revs. Roger Stewart, Edna Morgan, John Shelton Jr., Lee Turner, Steven Mays and Thomas Peters.
