ARTx3 Campus invites public to meet new executive director
Celeste Marie Alexander

The ARTx3 Campus invites the public to meet its new executive director during a free reception from 5-7 p.m. May 28 at The ARTSpace on Main, 623 S. Main St.

Celeste Alexander’s tenure at the ARTx3 Campus — which comprises the ARTSpace on Main, the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, and ART WORKS on Main — began April 1.

“Celeste has already been such an active and impactful member of our community, and we’re absolutely thrilled to have her with us at ARTx3,” said Lindsey Collins, assistant director. “Her leadership, vision, and passion are already making a significant difference, and I’m excited to see where she’ll lead us in this next chapter.”

Alexander’s ARTx3 executive director appointment follows her history of educational leadership, according to a news release.

“The reception will be a great opportunity to connect, hear about her goals, and share in the excitement for what’s ahead,” Collins said. “She’s excited to build on everything we’ve created and transform it into something even more dynamic as we embrace this new era of growth and opportunity.”

Alexander, a Pine Bluff native, previously worked at Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative, where she was teacher excellence coordinator and special projects coordinator for six years. Before that, she was a mathematics specialist and instructor at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff and the Pine Bluff School District.

She holds a doctorate in educational technology and leadership from Pepperdine University, a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in mathematics and radio/television/film from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. She also earned a certificate in theology and ministry from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Those planning to attend the reception are asked to RSVP by completing the form at bit.ly/457bIRx or calling (870) 536-3375. Details: Lindsey Collins at lcollins@artx3.org or call the center.
