Editor, The Commercial:
Please tell me how a story with the topic sentence: “Golden Lions victorious after triple-overtime against Braves” barely mentions the Golden Lions! The story should have been titled “Alcorn Braves almost victorious after triple-overtime against the Golden Lions!”
For a hometown team that had struggled through two losses to play like they did and get the story that was printed does a major disservice to their efforts and to the fans and community that follows them.
A better story was written by the Alcorn Campus Chronicle; http://thecampuschronicleasu.com/braves-lose-nail-biter-in-3-ots/. Shame on you Pine Bluff Commercial for your poor support of the Golden Lions through your writing of what was a GREAT game on their part!
