Arkansas youth to mark 4-H Day at Capitol Feb. 16

More than 300 members of the Arkansas 4-H Youth Development program are expected visit Little Rock Thursday, Feb. 16, for 4-H Day at the Capitol.

“This is a great opportunity for youth 13-19 years old,” Martha Ray Sartor, interim associate director of Arkansas’ 4-H program, said in a news release. “It’ll be an opportunity to learn about state government and teach those in government a little bit about the exceptional people and projects of Arkansas’ 4-H program.”

Members of 4-H set up regional exhibits in the Capitol rotunda to share their projects with legislators and other visitors in 2015. They also took tours of the House and Senate chambers after State Auditor Andrea Lea led a class on state government.
