Illegal Formation: Arkansas quarterback Tyler Wilson had the Razorbacks off to a great start on the game’s first drive, but a 39-yard pass to Cobi Hamilton was nullified because of an illegal formation penalty. The pass would have put Arkansas at the South Carolina 22, but the Razorbacks were instead forced to punt.
Connor Shaw: Coming off an ankle injury two weeks earlier, the South Carolina quarterback looked sharp on the game’s opening possession. He passed for 78 yards on the drive, capped by a 29-yard touchdown pass to Jerell Adams.

Dennis Johnson: Johnson had runs of 5 and 4 yards to put Arkansas at the South Carolina 5 early in the quarter, but his third-down fumble was recovered by the Gamecocks to retain a 7-0 lead.
Keon Hatcher: The freshman receiver hauled in the first pass of his career on a 6-yard touchdown midway through the second quarter to tie the game at 7.
Bruce Ellington: When South Carolina made a decision to go for it on fourth-and-5 late in the first half, Ellington got well behind the Razorbacks’ coverage and scored easily on a 42-yard touchdown to extend the lead to 21-10.

Highlights
D.J. Swearinger: After a pair of personal foul penalties on the first two plays of the Razorbacks’ first drive of the second half, the South Carolina cornerback intercepted Tyler Wilson and returned it 69 yards for a touchdown. Swearinger was flagged for excessive celebration after reaching the end zone and logged 45 penalty yards during the three-play swing.
Zach Hocker: Down 21 points, Arkansas opted to kick a field goal on fourth down at the South Carolina 3. Hocker’s second kick of the game pulled the Razorbacks to within 31-13.
Mike Davis: The South Carolina running back capped an eight-play, 74-yard drive with a 2-yard touchdown to give the Gamecocks a 38-13 lead late in the quarter.

Highlights
