The Arkansas Foodbank announces the opportunity for businesses to sign up for the THV Summer Cereal Drive. This year, the focus is nutrition and the goal is to provide more healthy breakfast options for children and their families.
This year’s drive will feature kick-off and wrap-up breakfasts and of course trophies. For the last 11 years, Tom Brannon, Today’s THV This Morning, radio station Alice 107.7, and the Arkansas Foodbank, in partnership with local businesses, groups, schools and individuals have teamed up during the summer months by providing healthy breakfast options.
Business edition registration is open from May 7 to June 1.
Last year, a record number of boxes of cereal were donated to the Arkansas Foodbank in the drive. The total was 212,873, surpassing the record set in the 2010 of 195,876. The cereal is being distributed to hungry families in Arkansas through food pantries in the Arkansas Foodbank’s 33-county service area.
