Several area students were among first-place winners in the Arkansas SkillsUSA Competition from April 14-15 in Hot Springs. Winners are qualified to attend the National SkillsUSA Competition in late June in Louisville, Kentucky.

• Cabinetmaking, White Hall High School, Tanner Cook;
• Carpentry, Monticello Occupational Education Center, Jose Ambrocio;
• Precision Machining, Monticello Occupational Education Center, Trey Busch.
