With the 90th Arkansas General Assembly in full swing, area legislators have been selected to a number of different committees by the leadership of the state House of Representatives and Senate.
Sen. Stephanie Flowers (D-Pine Bluff) will serve as chairwoman of the Senate Children and Youth Committee and vice-chairwoman of the Public Health Welfare and Labor Committee and the Joint Budget Committee Peer Review. Flowers will also serve on the Arkansas Legislative Council and as a member of the Senate County and Local Affairs Committee, Senate Insurance and Commerce Committee and Senate Rules, Regulations and Memorials Committee.
District 10 Rep. Mike Holcomb (D-Pine Bluff) will serve as vice-chairman of the House Public Transportation Committee and as an ex-officio member of the Public Transportation Motor Vehicles and Highways Subcommittee, Public Transportation and Rail Subcommittee and Public Transportation Waterways and Aeronautics Subcommittee. He will also serve as a member of the State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee and the State Affairs Reorganization Steering Committee.
District 15 Rep. Ken Bragg (R-Sheridan) will serve as chairman of the House Agriculture Committee and as a member of the Agriculture, Forestry and Natural Resources Subcommittee and Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Subcommittee. He will also serve as a member of the House Public Health, Welfare and Labor Committee and and Public Health and Health Services Subcommittee.
District 16 Rep. Ken Ferguson (D-Pine Bluff) will serve as vice-chairman of the City, County and Local Affairs Committee. He will be a member of the House Local Government Personnel Subcommittee and will also serve on the Joint Performance Review Committee and the Revenue and Taxation Committee, Sales, Use, Miscellaneous Taxes and Exemptions Subcommittee.
District 17 Rep. Vivian Flowers (D-Pine Bluff) will serve as vice-chairman of the House Aging and Legislative Affairs Committee and as a member of the Children and Youth Subcommittee and Children and Youth, Legislative and Military Affairs Subcommittee. She will also be a member of the Revenue and Taxation Committee and House Complaint and Remediation Subcommittee.
