Editor, The Commercial:
I have been reading in the paper about the different organizations and how the new tax will better our city. Well, we got a tax a few years ago and built some good things.
But the things that were built were under a new administration and most of them cost double. Then the quality of life was put under the police department and was not supposed to cost any money, and that was a lie. I wrote an article asking for information about the Jefferson Hospital Association and the $118 million that was in the account.
Someone told me there is only $30 million in the account. Why is that? I have voted for every tax they have proposed. I am taxed out. I don’t want a tax for the Pines Hotel, the theater or the temple.
Where are the grant writers? Where are the community developers? I am having conversations about tax monies now concerning Park and Rec but I will get with the proper people and I will get back with you all.
