Members of the Pine Bluff City Council on Monday selected their committee assignments for 2012.
The aldermen took turns by seniority choosing their committees. The results, with the committee chairman listed first, were:
• Development and Planning: George Stepps, Charles Boyd and Thelma Walker
• Public Health and Welfare: Steven Mays, Stepps and Glen Brown
• Ways and Means: Bill Brumett, Irene Holcomb and Wayne Easterly

• Traffic and Aviation: Brown, Boyd and Mays
• Administration: Easterly, Holcomb and Brumett
• Public Works: Boyd, Walker and Mays
• Public Safety: Holcomb, Brumett and Easterly
• Economic and Community Development: Walker, Stepps and Brown
The Ordinances and Resolutions Committee is made up of the top three most senior aldermen. This year that is: Holcomb, Brumett and Easterly.
