A free diabetes education program will be offered at St. James United Methodist Church, 900 University Drive, Saturday starting at 10 a.m.
The event is designed to help African-Americans with type 2 diabetes or caretakers for diabetics. The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Area Health Education Centers, South Central, will present the program by FACE (Fearless African Americans Connected and Empowered.)
