AEDQ plans training for permit holders

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality is offering free training classes across the state to help holders of National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits meet a federal deadline for electronic reporting.

In Southeast Arkansas, training will be held at Monticello at the Arkansas Cooperative Extension Services, Lab 1, 1022 Scogin Drive; Wednesday, Aug. 10, 11:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. and 1:30–3:30 p.m.; Thursday, Aug. 11, 8–10 a.m. and 10 a.m.–noon.

Classes are also offered at ADEQ headquarters in North Little Rock at 5301 Northshore Drive, Tuesdays, 9–11 a.m. and 1–3 p.m. until further notice.

NPDES permittees must start submitting discharge monitoring reports (DMRs) electronically by Dec. 21.

Because of space limitations, participants must preregister at https://www.adeq.state.ar.us/water/enforcement/compliance/netdmr_training.aspx.
