AARP Driver Safety Course set April 24

The AARP Driver Safety Class will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 24, in the Henslee Conference Center at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

The four-hour multimedia course will be taught by Princella R. Gardner, a certified instructor. The course is for people 50 and older.

Arkansas state law enables drivers to receive a discount on their automobile insurance for three years after completing the course. Each participant who finishes the driver’s course will receive a certificate that is valid for three years.

The cost of the course is $15 for AARP members and $20 for non-AARP members. Checks should be payable to AARP. Participants should bring a valid driver’s license and their AARP card if they are members.
