Five Jefferson County residents were among 23 people from across the state who were recommended for pardons by the Arkansas Parole Board on Wednesday.
All five have completed their sentences and fulfilled all other requirements, including the payment of fines, fees, and court costs.
The recommendations will be sent to the governor’s office where a final decision on them will be made.
Recommended for pardons were:
• Robert Franklin Ellison, convicted of breaking or entering, sexual misconduct, third-degree domestic battery and possession of marijuana.

• Keith Wayne Swilling, convicted of burglary.
• Ashley Taylor, convicted of second-degree forgery and theft of property in Jefferson County and theft of property in Pulaski County.
• Wesley D. Vanlandingham, convicted of possession of stolen property.
• L’Kela A. Young, convicted of shoplifting.
