Three adults and a child were transported by ambulance with apparently non-life-threatening injuries after an accident Saturday on Highway 88 East near Cornerstone.
According to Cpl. Marlon Briggs of the Arkansas State Police, Adrian Johnson, 19, of Pine Bluff was driving a 1998 Ford Mustang eastbound on Highway 88. Johnson told police that he reached down for something, then lost control of the vehicle and it crossed into the westbound lane before going into a ditch on the westbound side.
Sharhonda Jackson, 26; Deana Johnson, 25; and Ray Johnson, 26, all of Pine Bluff were taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, along with a 5-year-old child who was not identified. There were no other passengers.
The accident remains under investigation.
