The Jefferson County 4-H Teen Leader Club is re-organizing and recruiting new members. Youth 13 to 19 years old are invited to join the club. Membership is free.

Most club meetings will be held the county Extension office, 500 Idaho St., the first Tuesday of each month. Upcoming 4-H Teen Leader Club meetings include: Nov. 3, Dec. 8, Jan. 5, Feb. 2, March 1, April 5 and May 3.

The club is designed to engage Jefferson County teens in leadership, citizenship and life skills development through the use of 4-H research-based curriculum, Pia Woods, County Extension Agent II- 4-H Youth Development, said.

Teens will be involved in planning and conducting 4-H workshops and camps, have opportunities to serve in other leadership roles on the county, district and state levels and also serve as 4-H program spokesmen.

Various leadership and citizenship activities are planned, including special guest speakers and Teen Leader Tours, Woods said. Learn more about 4-H at www.kidsarus.org
