Deputies Zekeyia Jackson, Derrick Watson Jr., and Robin Woods of the Jefferson County sheriff’s office graduated from the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course on Nov. 8 at the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy in East Camden.
This 13-week, 538-hour course is designed to train students in the basic duties of a law enforcement officer who serves in Arkansas. Once completing this course and a one-year probationary period, these deputies will be certified law enforcement officers, according to a news release.
“We are proud of Deputy Jackson’s, Watson Jr.’s, and Woods’ hard work, resilience, and dedication displayed during this training period and look forward to seeing them move forward in their career as law enforcement officers with the JCSO,” a sheriff’s office spokesperson said.
