LITTLE ROCK — Gov. Mike Beebe appointed 28 people to state boards and commissions Friday including these Southeast Arkansas residents:
• Melanie Baden of Stuttgart replaces Garland Hayes on the Mississippi River Parkway Commission. Her appointment expires June 8, 2017.
• Jeff Baxter of Watson was reappointed to the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Board. His appointment expires June 30, 2014.
• Henrietta Nelson of Pine Bluff was reappointed to the Arkansas Pygmalion Commission on Nontraditional Education until June 30, 2016.
• Donna Jones of Fordyce was appointed to the State Review Committee for Historic Preservation until June 30, 2016.
