The 25th annual MASH Program celebration will be held Friday from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Pine Bluff Country Club.
The Area Health Education Center (AHEC) South Central in Pine Bluff sponsored the first MASH (Medical Applications of Science for Health) program in 1988, allowing high school students to learn more about how basic scientific theories are applied in health care.
Dr. Dan Rahn, chancellor of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, will be the keynote speaker Friday. Participants will also include Randy Veach, president of Arkansas Farm Bureau; Dr. John Lytle, a Jefferson Regional Medical Center orthopaedic surgeon; and several former MASH participants who entered the medical field.
