The Pine Bluff Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the start of the Leadership Pine Bluff program for its class of 2025. This year’s cohort, composed of 23 community-minded individuals, took part in its orientation session Jan. 15.
The day began with a series of icebreaker activities to help the participants get acquainted. The group then ventured out on an interactive scavenger hunt through Pine Bluff, exploring local landmarks and gaining insights into the community, according to the Chamber newsletter.
After lunch at El Parian, the class gathered at the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center for a panel discussion.
The panel featured leaders from local nonprofit organizations including the United Way of Southeast Arkansas, Neighbor to Neighbor, Helping Hands and the Turning Point Youth Center.
Leadership Pine Bluff is for individuals who want to make a difference in the community. This issues-oriented program broadens participants’ perspectives, examines community issues, expands opportunities to develop friendships from all segments of the community and strengthens leadership skills. Selected participants have an opportunity to work with area CEOs, professionals, elected officials and other fellow leaders as they study leadership techniques and community issues, according to https://jeffersoncountyalliance.com/chamber/programs.
