Sarah Tacker was the attorney representing Southwestern Electric Power Co. at Thursday’s Arkansas Public Service Commission meeting. SWEPCO spokeswoman Amy Schlesing provided documents to the Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette on Friday showing the utility’s current requested electric rate hike for residential users is 13.8%. Tacker’s last name was incorrect in an article in Friday’s editions, which also included incorrect claims by opponents of the level of the requested rate hike.
