Tennis camp plans finale

The Pine Bluff Parks and Recreation Department will host the finale of its Youth Tennis Camp starting at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Bloom Center, 2101 S. Hickory St. There will be many drills, food and activities for participating youth.The camp has been in session since July 7, according to a news release.

Civic auditorium meeting set

Simmons reports 2nd quarter results

Simmons First National Corp, reported net income of $54.8 million for the second quarter of 2025, compared to $32.4 million in the first quarter of 2025 and $40.8 million in the second quarter of 2024, according to a news release Thursday.

Diluted earnings per share were $0.43 for the second quarter of 2025, compared to $0.26 in the first quarter of 2025 and $0.32 for the second quarter of 2024. Adjusted earnings for the second quarter of 2025 were $56.1 million, compared to $33.1 million in the first quarter of 2025 and $41.9 million in the second quarter of 2024. Adjusted diluted earnings per share for the second quarter of 2025 were $0.44, compared to $0.26 in the first quarter of 2025 and $0.33 in the second quarter of 2024.
