AgHeritage tells election results
AgHeritage Farm Credit Services announced the results of its 2025 Board of Director and Nominating Committee elections, according to a news release.
Southeast Arkansas representatives include:
Cory Rowe (Southern Region) of Lake Village was elected to his first 4-year term on the board. He farms corn, rice and soybeans on 750 acres owned and 650 acres rented. Rowe holds a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, with a minor in Agricultural Economics, from Mississippi State University. He sits on the board of Chicot Irrigation Ag Conglomerate and is the Director of the Lake Village Chamber of Commerce. A former Lake Village City Council Member, Rowe also organizes annual meal fundraisers and ag auction events to benefit six rural schools in Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi.
Area stockholders elected for a year on the Nominating Committee include:
Independent reporting for Pine Bluff & Jefferson County since 1879.
Pine Bluff Office – Brady Harmon was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Robert Richardson was elected as the alternate,
Stuttgart Office – Curtis Fox was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Colin Holzhauer was elected as the alternate,
McGehee Office – Clay Poole was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Kyle Harriman was elected as the alternate,
Batesville Office – Will Cox was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Colton Ashberry was elected as the alternate,
Brinkley Office – Doug Medford was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Charles “Jeff” Reeves was elected as the alternate,
Lonoke Office – Brandon Parker was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Matthew Mask was elected as the alternate,
Newport Office – Tommy Young was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Rick Bagwell was elected as the alternate,
Pocahontas Office – Matt Hibbard was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Jason Bullard was elected as the alternate,
Searcy Office – John Hamilton was elected as the Nominating Committee Member and Jacob Feather was elected as the alternate.
Other elected officials include:
Rhonda Stone of Pocahontas (Northern Region) was reelected to a 4-year term on the board. She has served on the AgHeritage FCS Board since 2021 and is a member of the Audit Committee and Risk Committee.
Jerry Burkett of Little Rock (Southern Region) was reelected to a 4-year term on the board. He has served as an AgHeritage FCS Board Member since 2002, and is currently Chairman of the Board.

Small Works to open June 6 in PB
The Arkansas Arts Council’s annual touring visual arts exhibition, Small Works on Paper, will open June 6 at the Arts & Science Center for Southeast Arkansas, 701 S. Main St.
Alexia Lams of Pine Bluff is among featured artists in the exhibit. A reception will be held from 5-7 p.m. June 12, according to a news release. Small Works on Paper will be on view in the Altheimer Gallery through June 28. Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Now in its 38th year, Small Works is a juried visual art exhibition that showcases artwork from Arkansas artists. The artwork can be no larger than 18 x 24 inches. This year’s exhibition features 40 pieces of artwork by 35 Arkansas artists. The exhibition will tour nine venues statewide.
This year’s Small Works entries were juried by Mario A. Robinson, a full-time professional artist based in New Jersey.

Free fishing weekend June 6-8
Arkansas State Parks invites everyone to join them for Arkansas Free Fishing Weekend from noon June 6 until 11:59 p.m. June 8. Free Fishing Weekend, sponsored by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission, is an annual event in June that allows everyone in the state, both residents and non-residents, to fish without the need for a license or trout stamp.
