Ivy Center Club Scrub to meet
The Ivy Center for Education’s Future Medical Professionals, Club Scrub, will host a workshop featuring Michael Turley, a registered and licensed dietitian from Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The session will be held from 6-7 p.m. April 1 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences South Central Medical Center, 1601 W. 40th Ave.
Turley will highlight “the power of making healthy food choices for a better, healthier future,” according to a news release.

Preserve Arkansas to tour Stuttgart sites
Preserve Arkansas, in partnership with architectural historian Mason Toms, will hold its next “Mid Mod Arkansas” tour in Arkansas’s Grand Prairie region on April 5.
The 2025 tour will include private homes and churches at Stuttgart, Slovak and Lonoke, according to a news release.
The tour will begin at 10 a.m. April 5 with a welcome at the Museum of the Arkansas Grand Prairie in Stuttgart. Attendees will travel independently to hosted tours of the 1968-69 Paul and Ella Buerkle House and the 1955 Holy Rosary Catholic Church, both at Stuttgart. Afterwards, attendees will return to the museum for a catered lunch sponsored by the museum and the Grand Prairie Historical Society.
The tour will resume after lunch with visits to the 1961 Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church at Slovak and the 1965 Richard and Johnnie Carolyn Bransford House at Lonoke. The complete tour is expected to last from approximately 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Each year, Preserve Arkansas’s Mid Mod Arkansas tour highlights significant Mid-Century Modern architecture in cities throughout the state to raise awareness and encourage appreciation for these buildings.
Tickets for the April 5 tour are $40 per person and include hosted tours and catered lunch. Tickets may be purchased at PreserveArkansas.org or by calling (501) 372-4757. Space is limited.
